Drug rehab is psychotherapeutic treatment that generally addresses the abuse of alcohol, prescription pills, or street drugs (cocaine, heroin, amphetamines, etc ). Drug rehab programs are aimed at addressing the two problems of addiction: physical and psychological dependency. Some drug treatment can be done at home, where as some programs require admission to a facility. If you have a friend or family member who is suffering from a drug or alcohol addiction, it is best to address the problem sooner, rather than later. A so called “intervention” can be administered where people close to a person with an addiction, gather to help acknowledge the problem.
